Early Colonial History of Sudbury, Massachusetts
I approached my reading of this literature with a 'grain of salt' expecting much Victorian hyperbole prose. Instead I found myself reading along effortlessly. He keeps his praises and flowery language to a minimum. The history of Sudbury is fascinating because the colony was originally planned in Watertown, MA in order to absorb the arriving new settler's from England. (ref. the Great Migration.) He's extensively researched each and every settler's name recorded in reports, logs, journals, ship manifests etc. If you have any ancestor's who arrived in the early Boston or Salem area and ended up in Sudbury at some point look to this outstanding research for data you may not already possess. The first 250 pages or so address the 1600's. Good luck and have fun.
